Ronny loved Music, Ronny loved Animals, and we love Ronny.

To honor his memory and to celebrate the life he lived so fully, we have established a foundation to give voice to his two greatest passions.

The Animals

Anyone who knew anything about Ronny knew how much he loved animals. He loved his kitties and referred to them as his family. Over the years, he had quite the brood. Many a stray cat would end up on his doorstep and they would always find a way to Ronny’s heart, and the “family” grew. He supported several shelters as well as the Humane Society of Huron Valley. His love for all animals was boundless and a true reflection of what a kindhearted man he was.

The Music

Ron was a founding member and lead guitarist for The Stooges. His guitar work was already legendary among fans and musicians when Rolling Stone Magazine, in 2003, ensured his position in music history by naming him #29 on their list of “Top 100 Guitarists” of all time. During his junior year in high school, he took a trip to London with his friend Dave Alexander, the future bassist for the Stooges. They went thinking they could meet the Beatles and check out the music scene, and more importantly, that’s when Ronny decided his future. Over the years, he learned from hard experience the devotion and the struggle it takes to make a career in music. Because of that, and because he was such a caring kindhearted soul, Ronny was always generous about helping other musicians along their way. He was a genuinely humble person and very appreciative of the fame that The Stooges achieved in the last few years of his life.
